Jagodina stijena is located near the Petehovac Mountain Center. We believe that you will not be disappointed when you see what beauty this place has to offer. There is an interesting story behind the name of this place, which, if you are interested, you should definitely explore.

Javorova Kosa is a beautiful and easily accessible peak above Ravna Gora. There is a beautiful meadow at the top, and all around you is beautiful nature that gives you the feeling of fresh air and a break from the intense heat. A hiking walk in this area offers you independent picking of local blueberries along the path.

This picturesque place offers charming wooden houses, traditional architecture and abundant natural beauty. Here you can explore many hiking and biking trails. Lake Lokvar is located in an idyllic environment of forests and mountains. This lake is an exceptional tourist attraction and a favorite place for recreationists and those who want to relax with a beautiful view and a surrounding of greenery and nature. The lake is dried up, so you can also walk on the lake. We believe that this sounds very interesting to you as an additional experience. Therefore, be sure to walk along the bottom of the dried-up lake. The lake is surrounded by a path that allows you to enjoy all the natural attractions. The trail is 17.5 kilometers long, so walking along it will take up to five hours of active walking. This is an ideal location for anyone looking for an active vacation in the fresh, airy air during the summer months. At the same time, in this place, as everywhere in this area of Croatia, you can take incredibly beautiful photos as a memory.

Croatia is full of natural beauty, and one of the most impressive landscapes, where nature has created truly incredible shapes, is certainly the Bijele and Samara rocks. Along with Hajdučke and Rožanska kukov on Velebit, Bijele and Samarska rocks are the only ones with the status of a strict nature reserve, which is the strictest form of nature protection. They are located in the central part of Velika Kapela, and stretch through two counties - Karlovačka and Primorsko-goranska. If you like hiking and have at least a little adventurous spirit, a trip to the Bijele and Samara rocks will delight you. The ascent is relatively demanding, but it definitely represents the most attractive hiking path you will cross because nature has formed incredible karst shapes in the white stone here that leave you breathless. You will often descend and climb rocks, and in some parts the path is secured with pegs and cables. However, there are not many such parts and if you are in good shape and with a little caution and dexterity, you will overcome the whole path without any problem.

Kamačnik Canyon is another location in Gorski Kotar that will enchant you with its beautiful nature. The entrance to the canyon is located a few hundred meters from the train station in Vrbovsko, and it takes about an hour and a half to walk to the source itself. At the same time, you will want to stop at every step and absorb the beauty of the nature that surrounds you. The spring is located at 405 meters above sea level and is one of the 5 deepest in Europe. In the upper reaches of the Kamačnik there is an educational and didactic trail that interprets the natural features of this area, and on the promenade along the Kamačnik stream, there is a Pan's trail with five sound installations. The botanical trail will help you learn about the plant and animal world that lives here.

Zeleni vir and Vražji prolaz are located near Skrad, and in 1962 they were protected due to their exceptional beauty and geological value and declared a special geomorphological reserve. The Zeleni vir picnic area, located at 302 meters above sea level, can be reached from several directions. Zeleni vir is a powerful spring at the bottom of a shallow, spacious cave, over whose entrance 70 m high vertical rocks tower, down which a beautiful waterfall falls, next to which you will surely take wonderful Instagram photos. Devil's Pass is located a little further, and it is one of the most beautiful canyons in Gorski Kotar, through which the Jasle stream makes its way. There is a footpath along the canyon where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. At the end of Vrajže prolaz, there is another special feature of this attractive excursion site - Muževa hižica cave, which can be viewed by tourists up to 200 meters. For a more in-depth look, you will need equipment and mountaineering skills.

In Risnjak National Park, there is the source of the Kupa River, one of the strongest, most widespread and deepest Croatian springs. At an altitude of 321 m above sea level, the water has formed a green-blue lake that will enchant you. The upper course of the Kupa River is called the Miraculous Valley of Butterflies due to the richness of its flora and fauna. A visit to the source of Kupa is possible from two directions within the borders of the national park - from the village of Razloge, 15 km from Crni Lug, and from the village of Kupari, 30 km away. Due to the narrow roads, the Razloge entrance is recommended.

The hiking trail from Razlog has a serpentine character, so it will take you about half an hour to walk to the source, while the return trip should take twice as long. You can also reach the source from the village Hrvatsko (Crni Lug – Hrvatsko 45 min drive) via Kupar. The path from Kupar is laid along the watercourse itself and will take you to the spring in about 30 minutes. To return, you can use the path that stretches along the right bank, parallel to the course of the river.

National Park Risnjak represents all the natural beauty of Gorski kotar. Unique for its natural beauty, biodiversity and location, Risnjak attracts many nature lovers year after year. This wooded mountain range is named after the lynx, its most popular resident, and is one of the few places in Europe where you can still see it in its natural habitat. In its forests, in addition to the lynx, two other large European beasts, the bear and the wolf, have found their home, as well as numerous plant species, among which the rare and protected flower - eelgrass stands out.

Vrh Risnjak is impressive in every season: in winter when it is covered with snow, in spring when the meadows around it turn into flower beds, in summer when it offers a break from the summer heat in the nearby coast and in autumn when the leaves of its forest turn different colors. When visiting Risnjak, you will also enjoy the magnificent vistas that stretch out towards the islands of the Kvarner Bay and towards the mountains in neighboring Slovenia all the way to the Alps. The ticket price for adults is 10 euros and is valid for 2 days.
